Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy explains what information errorfaq collects and how it is used. It is written to be plain and accurate to how the site actually works.
Information we collect
- Search queries. When you ask a question, the text is sent to our server to generate an answer. We may keep aggregate, non-identifying counts of how endpoints are used to operate and improve the service.
- Recent lookups. Your recent searches are stored in your own browser (localStorage) so the box isn't empty when you return. They never leave your device and we cannot read them. Clear your browser storage to remove them.
- Standard server logs. Like most websites, our infrastructure may record technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) for security and reliability. We do not use this to build profiles of individuals.
Cookies & advertising
errorfaq may display third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to errorfaq and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
How we use information
To answer your questions, operate and secure the service, and understand aggregate usage. We do not sell your personal information.
Children's privacy
errorfaq is a general-audience reference and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
